In this video I offer some tips on how to start the IV.

. Stabilize the vein with your non-dominant hand and insert the IVs needle into the vein watching carefully for blood return or a blood flash in the chamber. The process of starting an intravenous line IV is quite simple. When you get in the vein you will have a little bit of blood but the needle is slightly ahead of the catheter.
